rag joint

I was going about 30mph when my rag joint broke on my steering assembly. Some how i managed to turn the thing into an vacant gas station. I called a tow truck and he came and towed it from the front. The funny thing was that right when popped my hood to inspect the problem another ford pickup drove right up next to me and popped his hood. His rag joint broke too!!! What are the chances of this happening... In a vacant parking lot. Pretty crazy. I went and bought a a new rag joint but found out that i couldnt take mine off. Some one has welded the the bolts that hold the rag joint on. So i need that metal piece too. I'm gunna go to the ford dealership tommorw and see if they have it. In LMC there selling it for $68.69. Wow thats expensive. Its on page 93 part number 18 in there new issue. So does anyone know if they still make these things or not. If not ill have to go to some wrecking yards. Thanks

Chris, Run to nearest store and Buy a Lottery ticket before the other guy does.
Then you might have enough money to buy lots of rag joints.
