I have that bumper on my truck - it's not an eddie bauer only bumper...

I used to have the smoothed one where there were no cutouts but I got a new one. I think mine is from a 96 era vehicle...

Red face

Put my billet (round tube) grill in some months ago, and my friend's son walks up one day and says, Hey, Mr. B, you want this for your new grill. He presents me with a new blue oval badge, smaller that my stock oval on my old grill, but still good size. So I show it to him in place, and without, and he said install. So I did. He thinks you should install to. I agree. Looks sharp either way!

The grille shell was free- the stock grille I took off. The stainless billet grille ran me around $110 shipped I think. So $110 + $5 in hardware and $10 emblem.

$125 total- so basically the same price as a decent billet grille. This is definitely a budget project.

The tires are Nitto Terra Grapplers, you are correct.

Love the tires so far... I probably only have about 1,000 miles on them. I chose them A) because I wanted an All Terrain and B) Because they had an obscure size (33.3 x 11.50 x 17) and C) Because Discount Tire seems to have a lot of their sizes in stock and D) Their price. They also got a best buy from consumer guide or consumer reports.

The only resounding complaint that I heard is that they are only good for 30-35k miles. That is totally fine with me. What good is a 45k- 50k mile tire when the rubber is so hardened that it is like driving on bricks with highly reduced handling capability? I would rather a tire stay soft and pliable and wear out sooner then the alternative tires. Three years out of tires is fine for me.

As far as right now, I wouldn't hesitate buying them again. No vibration, amazing wet weather handling, great looking and quiet!

Dale, great minds really do think alike! I am planing on doing the same thing with the front end of my truck. I don't mean to Hijack this thread, but I have a bunch of questions. From the pics I can see you cut out the center vertical and horizontal bars on the stock grille. From there, did you have to modify the billet grille at all? What about mounting them both together? The stock grille has the 4 mounting locatons along the top of the core support. And on the billet grilles I've seen they mount in those 4 places along the top, as well as 2 more locations on either side at the lower corners. How exactly did you get them to work together? Basically I'm just looking for any insight on this from someone who has done this before. Thanks in advance!

Naw, that's not it. I have been so busy. I just installed a 4" suspension, redid body mounts and a few other monumentus tasks over the last few weeks. I am getting ready to take the grille off to do the finishing touches.

I figured as much, I was just giving you a hard time. Once you get it done, could you please kind of go over what you did? I found a thread or post of a brief summary of what you did, and thats pretty much what I figured, but any little tips or tricks would be much appriciated.
