Silly Question about Old Navy
The Bass Pro here in Auburn, N.Y. has a 47- 53 Brand X truck in it also. I think they looked the same more than the F1 did and for longer I think.
This is a new addition. I was there last summer and it was not there yet. They have it covered in shirts with old trucks on them. I bought one with a 51/52 Ford on it.
The C_____ guys are really losing out with all these parts trucks going into stores. I do like the 5 window cabs. A real safety feature IMHO. Being able to see when your switching lanes is a big plus. I wouldn't trade my F1 for Brand x anyday.

I've been to 3 or 4 old navy's (well, I've been dragged there by my wife) but looking at the trucks I haven't seen any with engines or transmissions. The hood alignments all look like they are twisted or just loosely laid in place. Some are rougher than others but at least they are preserving the trucks from rusting to death. If Old Navy ever goes under man will it flood the market with Chevy trucks, probably tick off owners of them for devaluing their trucks!
For what it's worth the Bass Pro in Columbia has a 51 F1 parked out front, I think it is advertizing a brand of 4 wheelers. It's real rough but at least it's covered.

There was a watering hole near Philadelphia I and an old girlfriend used to go to called the Graterford Speakeasy that had old 30's era cars sitting along the lane going in to the establishment that had bullet holes in them to give it the feeling of the Prohibition era. Pretty cool as I remember.

Here in Oklahoma City there is a glass shop down town that has a '48-50 Ford truck out front with the business name on it. The bed still has the glass hauling framework on it. It is one of the larger trucks but not sure which one.
I work in Norman OK and there is a glass shop there that runs deliveries of glass with a classic Ford truck. I always smile when I see that truck on the road.

some of these trucks are actually in great condition.. oh well, i guess it isnt that hard, but man, i wish one of these stores went out of business (which they wont) and i could pick up the truck for cheap

I often visit tow yards to look at crashed vehicles for my job. In most tow yards I come across at least one vintage tin vehicle. Depending on the yard, it could be a lot of them. Nonetheless, I had to go to a tow yard yesterday to inspect a motorcycle from a fatality accident. As I drove into the yard, I found two of these sitting there.
During my inspection, I was able to talk to one of the main guys at the yard. I asked him why they have the trucks. He told me that some guy from the Midwest bought all of the trucks, 1,100 of them, and is having them transported to him. They got the job to transport them to him.
Now, I don't know how many stores Old Navy has nationwide. I failed to ask him if 1,100 was nationwide, just from California or from several states. I don't think that Old Navy has 1,100 stores in just California. I wonder how he struck a deal with Old Navy?
He had no idea what the guy was going to do with all of them.
Thank god they're not Fords!!! I'd have a heart attack if one guy bought that many BB Fords.
Now I'll have to visit the local Old Navy store to see if their truck is still there. I'll try to ask around, but I doubt that anyone would have an answer for me.

thats crazy that someone bought 1100 trucks. I am guessing he is going to sell them all, or create a parts warehouse for them?

Also, notice how one has all fenders, grill and running boards removed. A wooden structure was built in the back of the same truck and hold the removed parts. Why do you think they've been removed? I'm guessing it's to prevent them from being damaged in transport.
