Local Leaders

Local Leaders
We need to appoint some local leaders - people who live in different locations that can help establish our chapter and hold local meetings.
We can all look at the frapper map and realize there is not much chance of getting someone from Bakersfield to drop in for dinner if the dinner is held in Redding.
A local group would be a group that lived close enough together to hold a meeting or get together where no one person needed to drive more than an hour to attend. A local leader would be the someone who set up these meetings and acted as a spark plug to keep the chapter growing.
Gashog has agreed to do this in the East Bay area, and I am working on Jag Red for Sacramento, but we need someone for each of the other areas.
Also, if there is a sub-group of us that likes certain activities (like drags, or 4X4 trails, or even fishing) we can set up a sub-group around that activity.
The meetings would be open to anyone in the chapter - but mostly set up for the convenience of the local sub-group.
The practical part of this is that it gives a tight group of people willing to help each other - like Rdon and his problem passing smog. I am sure he would be willing to put up a 12 pack to have several members show up and help him troubleshoot and fix his truck.
What do you guys think? Any volunteers?
