power brakes

I would like to install power disc brakes on my F250 pickup.292Y block with an early 4barrel intake manifold I find no port to access manifold vacuum, was thinking about drilling and tapping manifold 1/8in. pipe ,also wonder if the vacuum was sufficent for a 7in.booster.

Hmmm. I have never seen an intake manifold without a vacuum hole. Seems odd. Anyway, click on the link below and you will see a picture of the back of a 1956 car intake. I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but there are two 1/4 inch holes inside the large hole. Perhaps to create a venturi effect? Your guess is as good as mine.

Thumbs up

Well, all I had to do was go out to the garage to get the answer. I have the same intake on my Merc. The vaacuum is sourced from the base plate on the carb. This is where I get the vacuum for the windshield wipers. Mystery solved.
