Helppp!!!!

I have an 83 F100 2bbl carb. Have a 302 with EFI sitting in driveway I would like to put in. Would it be wiser to leave the efi and buy computer and harness, or yank the efi and go 4bbl and intake

Thanks

Thanks for advice. Do you know if I need to change anything like heads. Or should it be a bolton. Of course I will have to go Electric Fuel pump and regulator.

I agree with 312; I think you'll be happier with the carb. You have a lot more tuning options without having to worry about changing chips and sensors and running miles of wire. Any good performance parts supplier should be able to provide a good carb and intake that will be bolt on; such as summit or jeg's. Or for that matter,I believe an '86 5.0 4 barrel intake should be a bolt on,but I'm not positive. Electric pump is a must but you can buy a pump for a carb application, so you may not need a seperate regulator. Hope this was hlepful.

I believe the EFI blocks just had a plate where the mechanical fuel pump went, you'll still need a camshaft eccentric to make it work... the mechanical pump is a lot more reliable and way cheaper to replace than the electrics...

I would go with a carb in your situation, since your truck was built for a carbureted motor, meaning the holes in the firewall are just big enough for the minimal wiring harness, no bracketry for TV cables to build, blah blah blah...
