I'm getting my license this summer, and I'm bored, so I was just wondering what all of you guys did the first day you got your driver's license. Bring on the stories.
Drove to the local John Deere dealership to pick up a new air filter.
Then, proceded to drive around in circles going nowhere every evening for the next several weeks. (Actually, even several years later, I've yet to completely outgrow that particular habit...)
Well, in all fairness, getting my license wasn't really that big of a deal because I'd been driving for a few years by then. I think I drove on a dirt road for the first time when I was about 10.
Got up, got my license, came home and got the 65 Mustang, uncorked the headers and proceed to go by the school in 1st gear rapped out while school was in session, cuz i didnt want to go to school. Came home, started workin on my truck, went out to the country shot rifle and shotgun for a while and came home. OH yeah....and went and got my Contour SVT.
I don't really remember the first day, but a week later my parents got pissed off because I took my girlfriend around a single block during the lunch hour at my school. Crazy. It wasn't the girlfriend being with me, it was just that they get nervous every time I sit behind the wheel of a car, especially with someone else beside me. My parents sometimes, I'll tell ya' what!
Got my license on 16th bday talked Mom and dad into letting me borrow their 76 granada and almost put it in the ditch ...sideways is the way cars are supposed to go on gravel roads isn't it ?????LOL
Drove myself to and from football practice. I had a conversion van, so for the next week or so, I was the one driving all my buddies around because I was the only one who could fit everyone. That kinda fell off when school started and my entire paycheck was going into the tank.
i drove home and started workin on fixin my dads 79 f250(broken spider and axle gears, result of his studed tire burnouts). took a few weeks before my parents started letting me drive.still don't have total freedom till i get one of my vehicles on the road
I got my license about 6 months ago. I don't remember too much but I picked my brother up from school, and went to work and parked in front of my bosses car. Getting my license has made it easier for me to do what I want.
