Does anyone know if a snow plow frame from a 78-79 F250 4x4 will be a pretty direct bolt on to a 67-early 77 F250 4x4?

Thanks jeff

I think the 73-79 frames differed slightly so that the plow frame set-ups for a 67-72's were not a direct bolt-up for the 73-79's. It probably also depends on F100 -vs- F250. What model truck and plow set-up do you have? I have F250 4wd frames from both year series and can check on that for you. Let me know.

Does the plow frame bolt to the frame rails ahead of the front axle, or hang off of the front leaf springs and then go backwards to the frame of the truck near the back of the cab? I've seen both types on 3/4 ton trucks.

Stockman brought up good questions as well - 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton? What make of plow frame?

I also own 3/4 ton examples, a 1969 and three 1979's. My brother has a 1973 too that I could check if necessary.

The plow frame is a meyer. It is for a 3/4 ton as far as i know. Its on a 77 1/2 F250 4x4 right now. I would like to put it on a 72 F250 4x4. I'm not sure where it bolts to the frame in relation to the leaf springs, i'll have to take a look. That might help you a little bit more until i get a chance to look that where it's mounted now.

Thanks
jeff

The Meyers setup mounts fairly straight forward. I have a set of frame mounts for a 72, but not the center push bar that bolts between the frame mounts. There are four bolts holding each frame mount; Looking at the side profile of the mount, it essentially looks like a large V. There should be no problem mounting the frame mounts from the 77 to the 72. The question would be simply whether or not the frame widths were any different between the two models.
