Problems with my '97 F150

Hey! It's been a while since I posted on here.

I've been busy trying to fix my '97 because it has been giving me a bit of trouble. It has a brand new alternator in it now and when I put the new spark plugs and wires in, it tripped the battery light again. It really ticks me off. I'll be taking it back to the dealer tomorrow and see what is going on. I just paid 210 bucks for the new alternator. I thought that was highway robbery. I had no choice but to pay it.

I'm not customizing it now because I recently bought a '73 351C Mach 1. It just needs a new paintjob, stripes, and a few minor details under the hood and interior. After that one is done, I'm planning on customizing my '97.

I plan to upgrade the '97 front end to a '99-'03 front end because I think it looks a lot better. I also plan to swap out the bench seat for a 60/40 bench seat because I love how it looks and feels. After that, I want to put a factory tach cluster with white face gauges in and do the triple gauge A-pod and then put on some tires and rims. Anything I need to know about the things mentioned above so I can start?

Sorry for the long post. Thanks!

Check fuse 6 in the power distribution box (under the hood).

I've not found any bad fuses so far. I've searched each and every fuse in that power distribution box with no luck.

The battery warning light indicates low charging current.
Sounds like maybe the alternator is bad. The dealer can test it to see for sure.
$210 !? OUCH!

Don't be a stranger 'round these parts!

Brian, yeah, I said exactly the same thing to the dealer and he told me I had no choice. I sure didn't want to pay that dang much! I never got the chance to have him test it because he didn't show up at the specified time and I had to get back to work on time. I saw him pass by me in the other direction!! How is that for service!? They shouldn't do that kinda thing. I'm taking it back tomorrow again and I'll get back to you with a update of what's going on.

Thanks for letting me rant!
