Cool two engines

well i have not posted a thread in a while. yes i'm still kickin the low down is still non-opt no money so it is time to get off one or both of these big block ford motors i got the first one is a 1960's 390 not sure of the exact year but it's a 390 the other the one i want to keep is a 429 really want to keep that one. the reason i'm selling is i need some coin to put my f-100 back on the road. and to do that i need to service the tranny and register it so i need about $250.00 they were given to me by the old ford guy's wife on the corner of my street i used to borrow his cherry picker he passed away a month ago so she told me that i can have both of them and if i give her $150.00 i can have the cherry picker the 390 ran when it was pulled out who knows how many years ago and the 429 i have no clue about so if you want a 390 at a fair price drop me a line going to try and keep the 429 but will let it go if the price is right

thank you for your time
Earl W

p.s. i know this should really go in the buying and selling thread but i wanted to plead my case in open fourm times are hard i've only worked 5 months in 2 years it sucks

It's still better to post it here for several reasons. One is that it's against the rules to post it directly in the forums, another is that when it's posted here, an email automatically goes out to everyone who has posted in this thread already (if they're subscribed to the thread, and most are) so that actually more people will read this sooner than if they just stumble across it in the forums. I would post an ad in the classifieds as well, and don't forget craigslist...I've sold a lot of stuff on there.

Anyone need a Powerstroke?

I just helped my neighbor pull a PS from a (I think) '94 F250, it has 210K on it. Also is the manual tranny (I think it is a 5 speed). He also kept the wiring harness, computer/etc, so should be an easy swap for someone wanting to put it in a older truck.

He's asking 1500 for the package...oh, it was a 4WD and the transfer case is still on the tranny, he'll also toss in anything you need off the truck.

Truck went into a ditch, broke the pass side of the front axle, it could be fixed,,also has locking hubs on it.

thinning out all my ford truck parts

Howdy everybody,
i havent been on FTE to much lately its been a busy year. i collect a lot of different things such as cotton picker machines, tractors, ford burma jeep military vehicles. but my main thing is ford and mercury pickups 1948 to 72 mainly 67 to 72.

recently i have decited to thin out all my spare parts, i have sold a lot already but still have a lot of stuff, i might be relocating in the near future and i dont want to move it all. rather than listing it all, if any FTE members are in the Los Banos area and want to stop by and have a look e mail me or call at (209) 769-4058... or contact me with your want list, i would make a good deal on a bulk lot of the stuff i want to get rid of.

thanks, Jess Soriano

Does anyone want Thumper Parts?

Here's what will be left soon...

Cab no doors (spoken for by Dale) Speedo-cluster is out.

Price is free, or I'm hauling it to Modesto Junk.

Same with the frame.

Good stuff we'd llike to sell:

Engine-460 w/D0VE heads, conservative estimate is 400HP/550 ft/lbs Should be a real streetable engine, if interested, contact me for specs-750 bux

Tranny/T-case/Torque converter

C-6 with a bunch of new parts and a new stall convereter, married to an NP205 T-case from a '78 or '79 Ford with 78K on it.-contact Dan for pricing and info

D60 Rearend, Dan said it's a limited slip, we know it's 4.10 gears, complete drum to drum along with the leaf springs if needed. 300bux, we think it's a good deal,

D44 frontend (Dan, was this high pinion???? have to take another look) with 4.10 gears as well, Dan spent some dollars from some new parts for it, talk to him for specifics. oughta fetch 300 bux as well.

Of course we'll make a package deal, as well as negotiate prices on anything.

I gotta make some room out back soon (County is on my ass thanks to my looky-loo neighbors that can only see my junk when they look out thier bathroom window or get up over the fence...pricks).

Reason for not posting in the classifieds, I need to get his stuff out quickly, original plan was for Dan to grab the tranny stuff and head back to Lake County with it, but hate to see him make a trip and spend 100 in gas to to haul it back, I can stash the engine and tranny, but if not gone soon the cab, farme and front and rear end will become scrap material.

Tell your friends, tell your Dad, heck, tell your Dads girlfriend This stuff has to go (along with all my other "Valuable treasures") within the next 60 days, or I start to incur fines.

I want to get up there in the next few weekends and get the bed sprayed in my truck. I would like to take a look around and for spare parts at least. I wonder how hard it would be to drop that 460 into my truck????
