Escape transmission, is this the same used in the Edge
Short question: in the 2008 model year, did the Escape and the Edge use the same automatic transmission?

The Escape used the CD4 and I believe the Edge did then and still uses the 6F50.

You are correct, Escape = CD4E, and Edge = 6F50 (actually a very good transmission)
