Ford had alot of differnt 3.55 axels between 1980 and 1986 for the F-150,F-250 and F-350's. And that decoder is extreamly limited and doesn't cover 1/8th of them. Heres my list of 3.55 codes.
Axle codes:
F-150/250/350 Non Limited Slip:
Door Code..Man...Size.......GVW..Gear Ratio
19.............Ford... 8.8"....3750......3.55
26.............Ford............4050.......3.55
29.............Ford............5300.......3.55
49.............Ford............7400.......3.55
69.............Ford............8200.......3.55

Door Code...Man...Size....GVW....Gear Ratio
H9.............Ford........................3.55
B6.............Dana........................3.55
C9.............Ford.........................3.55
F9.............Ford.............8250......3.55

I was just going by the tag number.
I wish to would have included the top line so I could have looked it up with the code.

V126C (top row) = Ford Tr. '87-91 F250 3.55:1 10.25 NL
or Ford Tr. '87-91 F350 3.55:1 10.25 NL
55 10 2 9D18 (bottom row)
55 = 3.55:1 Ratio
10 2 = 10.25 Ring Gear
9D18 = 18 April 1989
I do not think this is the rear end that came with this truck so you door tag numbers will not do you any good.
The above information is from "The Hollander Identification Manual".

89' f250 lariat extend cab with a 460. So it sounds like the 39 on the door does'nt
match with the numbers I first supplied.

Ok, yours is a F250 this makes more sense. This more than likely is the original rear end and what I decoded would be correct.

The Door 39 decodes to 6250 lbs. 3.55 Ratio and that matches the rear end tag.
