99 F150 4x4 4.6l cel

Truck has 159156 miles. It is an automatic. I had the cel come on today and checked the codes and it is reading P0401 and P1450. Any advice on what needs to be done to fix it? Engine runs fine and i don't want to have anything happen to it.

For the P1450, start here: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...ighlight=p1450

The P0401 has about a million posts. It is usually either a DPFE sensor or clogged EGR ports. SEARCH for these keywords: "P0401 DPFE EGR Vacuum" or just look around for more than 30 seconds.

i had seen some threads on the p0401 code but not with the p1450 with it. Thought maybe somebody had these codes together and had an idea. I had read about replacing the egr and cleaning but i also have the p1450 code which is evaporative emissions control system and thought maybe one might be causing the other. Basically was wondering if i should focus on one code or the other if one was possible causing the other. Would be cheaper to fix. Not as familiar yet with newer systems as i have mostly owned pre-85 stuff. Mainly 50's and 60's. Really like these 99-03 trucks though. Anyway, thanks for the reply.
