I am looking to shave the antenna off my 05 f150. I need to replace it with an internal antenna such as one which hides under the headliner. Tbe antenna has to be able to get good reception due to the hills and valleys that I drive through which makes reception very poor. So what brands are popular out their and where can they be ordered from?

 

the expedition uses a hidden antenna. maybe look at how those are done.

 

I don't think you will get anything to work under the headliner, the steel roof will block your signal.

 

mabey an antenna in the windshield?

I found two antennas at Crutchfileld but both had recieved very poor reviews, I dont know if i boght one and used an fm booster with it if i could recover whatever lost signal I was loosing. I have heard that the expy does had the window antenna but I am having trouble locating a part # for it. I will post back later this afternoon ford is supposed to get back to me on it. ( I am holding my breath on that one)

Actually just a fm and maybe am though I never use that band. I want to shave the fm/am antenna off of the truck. I am also doing the rear tailgate handle and ford embelem. At this point I can only do those three before I get my tax return money to shave the doors and put in door poppers.
