painting aluminum parts
Just wondering about this. I've got a '67 ranger and I plan on making it slick and all black. I don't have to put the aluminum trim back on the sides but, unless I can find someone who wants a restorable aluminum grille w/headlight trim to trade for steel parts, I need to be able to paint the aluminum amd make it stick, at least as well as the rest of the paint job. Is there anything special I need to do to paint aluminum? Is it even feasable to do so? Am I even in the right place?

Also post an ad in the classifieds. Having a 68 I know how hard a nice alumninum grill is to come by. I have a steel one myself. Email me with pics of your grill.
