I yanked my dana 24 out of my 71 F-250 4WD hiboy. It was making a ton of noise at higher rpms(highway speeds), and kicking out of gear. I've cleaned it off and haven't peaked inside yet. If there's any gears broken I don't want to spend a ton of money on the thing. The question is, will a np 205 be a direct fit? I've got a 390 with a np 235.

 

Should be an eazy swap. The 24 is a good case.That and NP435 are the only stock pieces left on my truck.

Tallboy, the sawp is very simple but heavy, i took a 75 F250 np 205 case and put it in my 72 F250 in place of a dana 24, the only thing i had to change was the 2 flat mounting brakets and adjust the linkage rod.
