I have been told that a 390 intake and heads will bolt onto a 351W block. Is this true?

nope, not even the same engine family. FE engine (like your 390) are entirely different from Windsor engines...

Absolutly True....The 390 heads and Intake WILL bolt to a Windsor Block....
1 bolt in each!
