Well, after cleaning my EGR valve yesterday for the first time ever and letting her sit overnight, it seems to have fixed most of my stumbling and low power issues I've had on a cold engine. This morning she ran MUCH better, though not perfect. I might still have 1 injector going south on me....we'll see.
We bought our F-350 DRW Crew Cab in June with 174K on it, it now has just over 200K. It started running a little rough and through codes Po404 and Po405. This pointed to EGR issues so we pulled the valve assembly out to check it, sure enough gunked up. Cleaned, cleared the codes and drove it about 20 miles with no more CEL and a smoother more powerful engine.
Thanks for this website your information and helpfulness is great.

That's what I thought, All of mine are worked hard and plow snow. And in the summer they are dump trucks and also haul equipment trailers. Knock on wood I have not had any EGR issues as of yet , But will be pulling and checking my fleet in the next week.

This is most likely why you haven't had any EGR issues
