Rattle in the center console

Rattle in the center console
I've been getting a rattling sound in my center console (with center shifter) on rough pavement (cobblestone, transitions etc.) It's driving my compulsive side nuts. I'd like to find it, but I'm afraid to try and take it apart for fear of breaking something, Can anyone shed some light on how it comes apart

I have the same truck (and center shift) but it's an 04.
Just to be sure - have you removed eveything from the cupholders and the console storage compartment to be sure that something in these isn't vibrating?
The manual will have a page in it about taking the shifter console apart in the event that the tranny will not come out of "Park" when the brake is depressed. There is apparantly an override button on the bottom of the shifter that allows the gearshift to move out of park in case the brake sensor is wacky. Try looking at that part of your manual to see if that level of disassembly will get you going.
Other than the rattling sound, ain't that center shifter cool!?
