4.6L V8 question

I have a question regarding the 4.6L engine in the F150 that I just purchased (see introduction post). How much difference is there between the "Triton" engine and the one in my 98 Crown Vic? TIA.

same engine, they are all part of fords modular series. triton is just the name for the trucks. there is a few differences , intake, block is aluminum in cars and cast iron in trucks, torque curve is lower.

The block is cast iron in most cars except the Cobra Mustangs. The intake is tuned different in the cars than it is in the trucks, but the basic long block is the same.
