4.6l Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.6l Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my 4.6 all of a sudden started knocking, so did compression check and drivers side average between 170>160 but passenger side all inthe 180's.
why the lost of compression and whats the knocking?

Welcome. What year is it and what are you working on??? That's not a whole lot of difference. Have you checked the oil pressure with a real gauge?

it's a 97' f150 4.6L , the driver side has the lower compression but also has bad knock at which the only time you don't here it, is at idle

knocks anywhere but idle....might want to be real soft on the gas pedal. you might have some new ventillation in the block soon
