I agree. I actually use the 6.5' bed. I also think it looks great!

In my opinion 5.5' beds are useless. But if looks are all that matter to you, it doesn't matter.

I prefer the proportions of the Super Cab 6.5' over the Super CREW 5.5' and especially the Super Cab 5.5'.

The Super Crew 6.5' should look really nice.

I think it looks more sporty than the 6.5 ft bed.

The Scab 5.5ft beds are pretty rare, I remember not being able to find many when I was looking for a truck, especially with the 5.4L engine combined with 3.73s. Anyway, I wanted an Scab but also so alot of city driving where space is limited, so the 5.5ft bed is perfect for me. Again its all about what you use your truck for. In my case, an 8ft bed would go to waste because I wouldnt use it enough. The 5.5ft bed was perfect for carrying generators, large coolers, food, etc during the Katrina relief a couple months ago. Also I figure if I need that extra foot of bed space which some on here seem think "makes or breaks" the bed, I'll throw in a bed extender. Until now I havent needed one and I think the 5.5ft Scab combo looks better.

Bottom line is what your needs are, I prefer 6.5 bed.
I believe my black line-x rocker makes it look a foot longer.

The truck has a better ride with the longer bed too. Just a little more difficult to park. I wouldnt trade the way my 6' bed rides for anything! That includes one of those Dirty Dodges.

I have 5.5ft bed FX4 SCAB and it does exactly what I need. It does a decent job towing, fits in parking garages, easily fits the garage at home and to me it does look better than the longer beds.

It is great that Ford gives us so many options to build what we need and want!

Very true! Here's my "longer" version of silverXLT5.4.

I would have ordered the 6.5' bed however my garage was too small. I had to special order mine with the 5.5' bed . I am happy with the shorter bed and I have almost two inches of space when it's parked in the garage!

I vote for the 6.5' SCAB. It looks the best. I am also partial to the flareside which, IMO, makes it look a little shorter than the styleside.

I too have the 6.5' bed and like the look, but have you guys seen the supercab with the 8' bed? I had that setup on my F-250 and it looked pretty good, but I don't think it translated well on the F-150. They put too much metal in front of the rear tire or something. Please no offense, I almost had to buy one for work and I'm sure I would have gotten used to it.
