to buy or not to buy

I"m not sure if I can post this link or not.... but if so, F150 owners tell me if this would be a decent deal if I can get them down around $9500. Yes the mileage is outrageously high....will it hold up? I haven't owned an F150 so I really don't know what they are capable of as far as mileage goes...tranny and engine.

Nice looking truck. the odometer is the problem..... with this pickup so nice, it would be good idea for you to set aside some money for motor/tranny rebuilt or swap. If you're comfortable with mechanic work, then go for it. Only if you can lower the price considerably due to very high mileage. It's very attractive for older pickups that is near end of its life where you can buy for couple hundred dollars and restore it.

humm, well i would pay for a carfax report. then take that vin number and ask over at www.flatratetech.com for a oasis report. or see if polar here would be so kind ot do it for you. the engine should be fine for at least 80k more maybe 100k the tranny will go before then. beut odds are it has already been replaced.

Oasis report? Never heard of that. I did drive the truck and it drives incredibly well for an 01 w/188k. I think I will definitely pull a carfax on it just to see the history. My concern is this. With that many miles in only 4yrs time....wow. I'm hoping it wasn't used to pull an RV or something around the country.

You may want to look around more in your area for similiar setup. More likely, you'll find nice ones with lower miles with 60-80K for 2001 model. Good luck.
