True Flow Intakes I NEED ADVICE

I just recently purchased an 06 F150 Lariat. (still awaiting delivery) i am wondering if anybody has used or currently has a true flow air intake system installed on their truck. I have read that this guarantees up to 17 hp increase and 37 ft/lbs of torque. Can anybody vouch for this??? Thanks

Jimmy

Demsum healthly numbers for a piece of tubing and a filter.

Did you try postin' up in the 04+ F-150 forum?

I looked at the True Flow due to its simplicity and the fact that it pulls air from the stock location (outside the engine compartment). I like the straight through design without all those sound baffles like the stock system has.

But the $265+ was more than I'm willing to pay for a plastic tube. Plus, the stock paper filter flows more air than the engine can move at WOT so I don't need a foam filter.

If you decide to get it, do some before and after dyno runs. If you hit the numbers they claim and post the atual dyno sheets here on FTE, I'll send you an FTE T-shirt.

I just received a PM correcting me. The tube is a powder coated aluminum and NOT plastic. Sorry for the misinformation.

I still like 'em but like my +$200 more. Make 'em $99 and I'm all over it!
