Late 86 Chevy extended cab
A guy came into our neighborhood today to look at a truck for sale. He was driving a fullsize Chevy extended cab, from the mid-80's body style. Anyone else seen one of these? I've only seen one other, and it was on a dealer's lot in Seattle in early 87.

I'm sure it's a custom deal. Chevrolet was so far into the development of the 88-99 body series, that they wouldn't have bothered introducing something like that right before a body line would discontinue.
The other one I saw (Trey, it was at Hazelett's in Kent), was also a short box, but was 4x4. I remember it looking a lot nicer than this one (of course, it was new then). I never got a look inside the cab of either. I'm guessing they took a reg cab long box, swapped out the box and lengthened the cab (Like Red Racer, only different ). There are no stiffening ribs in the roof like a crew cab, so cutting the back and part of a roof off another truck to blend that, and then making the side skins wouldn't be that bad (for someone who new what they were doing).
