Another sparkplug question???

I have read the readfirst on the replacing the sparkplugs but one question im a little foggy about: I own a 03 F150 5.4 now i have replaced 2 coils due to misfires and the spring on the coil was rusty and the question on hand is i read or was told to put the dielectric grease to them, where in the inside of the boot so the spring is covered , thats what idid, or put the grease all over the boot? could some one fill me in, Sat. i plan on doing the plugs.

I usually put it around the opening of the boot on the inside to provide a moisture barrier when it is pushed over the plug.
