Should I pass on a good truck for a minor problem?

Hi all, been away in the desert for a while. Looking at getting a newer truck. Found a 2002 F-150 XLT 4X4, 5.4L with 45,000mi at a local dealership. Fully loaded with new tires, has almost everything except leather. Body in great shape except for a few minor dings. Beautiful truck. They are asking 17,900. I think it is a fair price, that's not the problem. Has a vibration in the gas pedal under heavy acceleration. I have read the posts on the vibration issues. The dealership even offered to fix it if its not normal and due to a problem. I had an issue with pedal vibration on a 79 F-150 that I had. Drove me nuts. I would hate to pass on what seems like a great truck, but don't want to get another truck that drives me crazy. Anyone have a simple fix? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Ask the dealership to repair the problem BEFORE you purchase it.
That way if it cannot be fixed you won't go crazy trying to live with it!
