I had the same problem with my 90 Bronco II. I ended up replacing the plastic inserts on the regulator arms. I had the local ford dealer to order them for me. They will come with a new ball socket on them. The originals are braded to the arms,but the ones I repaced,I just ground off the old ones and welded the new ones.
