F-350 front leafs are to stiff

Anyone know if they make softer front leaf springs for a 96 F-350 4x4?

My crew cab, long wheel base 350 rides like it has no springs at all I am really getting tired of my head hitting the roof every time I hit an unexpected bump..

I don't know about the weaker leaf springs but if you haven't replaced the shocks in a while you might try replacing them. Stiffer shocks can take a lot of bounce out of the ride.

I agree - try shocks first. Bilstein makes good shocks.

I just put four heavy duty generic shocks on my F350 crewcab and it made a huge difference in the front. The back, well, if it's unloaded, shocks or no shocks it doesn't matter. Loaded, it makes a huge difference.

It has new shocks on all corners, but they are the basic auto parts type, so maybe I need to look into a better shock. It's not so much as a bounce, it just seems so stiff. Frederic, you are right about the rear, only time it even thinks about riding good is when it's loaded down.

8 MPG, leaking exhaust manifold, tranny acting up, rides like sh#!.. what some of us will put up with..

I don't agree with the shocks solution. I have Rancho 9000 (adjustable) all the way around and no matter the setting its stiff. I have often wonderd about having some National spings made so I can have a smooth ride but still pull my trailer.

See ya...
