12v motor into a 53-55 heater
Howdy all,
I have a 54 fresh air heater. I'm going to buy a 12v motor for it and it appears that I'll need a CCW motor.
Has anyone done this? I don't want to buy an expensive motor and find out that I got the wrong one etc.
Sac Vintage has a motor for about $75 or so. It will actually do CW or CCW and is speed selectable. I'll probably use a high low switch with a rheostat on the low selection.
It's evidently a '56-'60 motor. I just want to ensure that they didn't change them so much that it won't fit.
Thanks,
Rick

Hi George,
Well, I just want to ensure that it fits and the shaft size matches the squrrel cage. They also come in CW or CCW too. Mine is CCW. I can control the speed easily with a simple rheostat or a big power transistor if I need to.
