Are you level?

I went to a local truck show yesterday and noticed that most of the show trucks that were lowered where pretty much level and not much rake, if any at all. I measured mine from the ground to the middle of the fender. The front I had 25 3/4" and the rear was 28 and 1/4". Any opinions on what looks best? I'd be interested in seeing others measurements just for fun.
I took this shot at the show.

You might recognize this truck from Custom Classic Trucks. He's running 20 inch wheels in the back and 18" front. He's level and almost lower in the rear.

Right now, my 94 is level and I can't stand it! All trucks should have some rake. I think that it gives them a more aggressive stance.

My front is 23 1/4, and the rear is 25 1/4.

I don't know yet if I'm going to raise it just a touch front and rear.

I like'em with big and little tires. As in out back....20's with some side wall and 18's up front with the same sidewall.... or at least thicker tires out back. Rake is always cooler, in my book..... -4speed

I have about 2" of rake and that was about right for me I tried several stances from higher in the front to higher in the back with about 6" of rake and higher in the back with 2" is where I liked it. I would give fender measurments but I have F3 front fenders and F1 rear fenders.

I like a truck with a rake. What I don't like an anything is the huge wheels with the low profile tires..........doesn't do a thing for me.

I prefer big and littles with a regular looking tire mounted on the wheel. Not sure what my rake will be yet. I'll be running 15" Cragars.

Ed -

I've seen some trucks at shows that are level also. It looks good if they are slammed into the weeds.

My 56 has a 2" rake. I like the look a lot, however the biggest reason for it is because I also use it to haul stuff. If the truck was level, I'd be dragging the tail on the road with a load in it. I always though a working truck had to have some rake just to use it.

The only time my truck sat level was when I was hauling the old 351C core back to the shop for my core credit. Looked pretty godd and it rode GREAT!

I think mine has about 1" of rake. Totally level made me feel like the nose was high going down the road. And obviously, I like big tires, not big rims, to fill up the wheelwells. Jag

I was aiming for spirit level level. But I have to admit the more I look at trucks these days a very slight rake does look quite cool. I think it does also depend on the ride height. The lower it is the more level looks better ( In my opinion).

Beauty is in the eye etc etc etc. Personally I like a wee bit of rake...don't care so much for the really big wheels and I like truck tires to have an aspect ratio (think that's the correct term) of around 60 to 75. Love the rubber band look on a race car and I've seen some street cars that can make it work but I haven't warmed up to it for trucks as yet. My rolling stock isn't cast in stone yet but hope to run same size tires all round and yet still have a little (1 or 2 inches) bit of rake.

Ok kids, Front wheel well 21¼". Rear 22¼" Runnin' 14s and 15s. I'm more of a big and little tire guy. As most of my friends know I like my stuff "in the weeds"

Thank You! I'll take "lower than the lawnmower" as a compliment. I'm always one for tuckin' tire front and rear if possible. :-)

once again, my ''standard'' is different from everyone else's. I measure rake in degrees. Put the angle finder on the bottom of the window opening in the door, look for nose down about 5-6 degrees. Perfect, IMHO anyway.
