Oil! 10-W-30 VS 5-W-30?

Not to be cheap, but my wife's car and our orther truch, both take 10W30 oil. The Sport Track call for 5W30. Would it be detremental if I use 10W30 on all three and avoid having to purchase more than one box of oil?
I believe the weather in central Florida does not require the 5W30 oil for the cold months. We may not even get below 30 degrees and if we do, it's for about a couple of hours.
I would be using Mobil 1 oil (if that makes a difference)
Please advice.

best regards,

Gil

You will not have any problem using 10W30 oil in your Sport Trac. You will probably lose about 1 MPG from a fuel economy standpoint. It might actually benefit you to have a thicker oil in the heat of Florida.
