Question Dual Exhaust headers for a 1957 F-250?

I was wondering if there are any dual exhaust headers that will fit a 292 Y-block that's in my 1957 F-250. If there are, how hard are they to install and how much do they cost. thanks for the help and I hope that I can replace the stock crossover pipe with dual exhaust headers. Thanks-klatt_89

Two sources for Y-block headers (not specifically for your application) are Red's Headers and Sanderson Headers. Sacramento Vintage lists long tube headers at $165 for "1948-64", which look to be made by Red's. Sac Vintage doesn't specify the model one way or another. I would guess that they will fit, but it's only a guess. You'd want to check with any or all.

Sanderson is pretty good about helping the customer; for example, they will let you exchange one header out of a kit for another from a different kit, to ease the pain of engine swaps. Red is a extremely nice guy as well & knows applications. Hope it helps.

The Original "Rams Horn" style that was offered back in the day are very hard to find and very $$ around here. I looked for quiet awhile and gave up. Going with a front clip from a Mercury car and a 302! Not orginal but it WILL have daul exhaust!

I'm pretty sure that i'm going to buy the stubbies and install those. Anyone bought and installed those style headers for the Y-Block?

stubbies? they make a shortie header that fits trucks? Sanderson has nice quality, long tubes. Red's has nice ones as well. patriot performance also sells long tubes and I have a part # if you would like. Ram horns are being re-made but you still pay $300+ for a used or new pair. -4speed

Stubbies are a shortened version of the full length tuck headers, these are sold on Reds Headers for $225 a pair, i asked them if they would fit and they were sure they would fit and be easier to install verses the full length headers.
