finding a lot of bad s#@$ on this thing but all correctable, turns out its a F100 with 250 badges, bad fab on the motor mounts, some wiring issues, exhaust is almost laughably badly made, and rear end noise i brought up in a couple other threads, and a 4 speed without a working e-brake is a p.i.t.a. at least the guy was a great welder, i haven't even figured out where he cut to shorten the 66 frame, well done there, tracks perfect, has to be perfectly straight or it would dogleg down the road or pull. overall happy for the money, can't wait to get rear fixed so i can open er up some, don't know whats wrong so i don't go to far or fast, mostly try something and test or run across town and back to hear er crackle

That's a nice truck. Usually I don't like the lines of the '57 pickups, but your's is very clean and looks good. Beast is a good name for it. The boxish lines exude a brutal nature.

I did see one '57 that I liked. They had put a flareside bed from an '80s picup on it. The square lines of the bed complemented boxy cab very well.

Good luck with the project.

never liked seeing mixed body styles on trucks, but never saw a 57 with an 80's bed, so i'll take your word for it, up here in the mountains when the bed goes bad the stakeside flatbed goes on. i can't wait for next weekend hope to get noise out of rear friday-saturday along with getting some wiring fixed. hope all on FTE have a great week
