Dana 60 or 44 front xlt

I have a 1975 F-250 RANGER XLT. I need to know how can I tell if it has dana 60 or 44 the tag on it is 4.09D3TAHA 6033951. Also there is a marking that says 44CF. I also have the orginal paper with specs that says AXLE FR 3550 DANA 6CF-HD. The front hubs look like they go on a 1 ton. Thanks

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 25-Nov-02 AT 08:48 PM (EST)]That is a Dana 44 heavy duty front axle. That is what the heavy duty axle was. The marking and the paper say the axle is a Dana 44-6cf HD that would give you the big 3 inch hub. The 4.09 on your tag I believe is your axle gear ratio.

1973 F-250 Highboy, 360, 4 Speed, Dana 60's Front and Rear with 4:10's, 31x10.5 BFG AT on Hurricanes, Cobra 40 ch CB, Pioneer CD Player, 2 1/2" Duals through Flow Master 40-Series Mufflers.
