Just bought a new 150

I just brought my new F-150 supercab 5.4 home. I got a good deal even after trading in a piece of crap cavalier. I got a little nervous reading some of these posts about the vibration problems. I took someones advice and and went back out for another test ride, left the salesman there, went through different cruising speeds, no problem at all. came back took another similar truck, this one was loaded, didn't make a half a mile before I turned around, liked to rattled me out of my seat. What I bought is a basic XL about the only option is HD payload package, I've owned a 66',65',69',70', 78'. Still have the 65' swb, and the 78' Ranger hopefully this one will be a good as those were. I hope theres more people here who like their trucks than not.

Congrats, and welcome to the 04-05 place. Most of us love our truck. The vibe tribe mostly still like the truck, even with the vibration.
Glad you were a smart shopper and did the research.
So far this has been the best darn truck I've ever owned, and I have owned a fair amount.
Hope you have at least as good a luck.

Hey even with the vibe problems I wouldn't own any other truck. I love my 05.
Imagine what chevy owners have to put up with

I'm almost at 11,000 miles with my '05 SCAB XLT, I've had no problems with vibration or any of the other major problems that have been posted. It's been a good solid vehicle so far...

Welcome aboard...

Good thing you didn't let those vibration complaints scare you from getting a great truck. You just gotta remember when you visit forums like this that you tend to hear a disproportionately higher amount of complaints than praise. There's only so many times someone can say, "love my truck", and "me, too", but nobody ever gets tired of complaining.

Thanks fellas, for the words of encouragement. Drove it home last night, to and from work today. Sweeeet! Love the way it rides. This is my first New Ford Truck and I'm sure it will serve me well.

Not in my pretty F-150. I've run those dunes, and the others you mentioned. I guess your out of the SD area.
I had my little 4x4 Tracker in the Pismo dunes, and it was a blast. More fun than Dumont, Glamis, etc. because when you get hot, you can play in the ocean.

Playing in the sand is a blast, though.
Sadly, I'm getting a bit too long in the tooth, to do it in the desert anymore.
Well have a great one
