11.25 rear end chatter?

I am trying to find clutch packs for a rear end in a 2000 f350 dually. According to our local ford dealer, it is an 11.25 locking rear end, and he cannot get clutches for it. He says it is only available as a unit for well over $1000. the part number is F81Z-4026-AB. This seems a bit ridiculous. It really looks like a D60 carrier. is this unit built by dana? I'm sorry i don't have the axle tag number handy, but any info to sort this out would be helpful.

The 80 is a narrow width only. and I can't say I've ever seen one in a 350.

Thats a lot of rear end for a ton I've got one under my F 450 flatbed wrecker.
We service vehicles for Halliburton their 350s are all single wheel and duallys.
When they go narrow frame it's a 450 or larger.

the 350 cab and chassis are stout, they make the dually pickup look like a halfton

So I am gathering that what Ford is referring to as a 11.25 is actually a Dana 80? I have seen clutch kits for them on ebay. I can just do that maybe. I know its not a 10.25, I have one of those weinies in my ol 93 F250.

I'll proceed in that direction unless someone else interjects within the next day or two. Thanks
Steve
