TITAN OWNERS, A CHALLENGE. - BRING IT ON!!
FTE is holding a National rally in Kansas city KS, {Click Here for details}
We want to invite a Titan truck owner to the rally to particapate in a pull off, to see who pulls the other. I know there are probably many F-150 owners willing to step up to the challenge. We record the video and post it here... to settle which is the better truck.
This a legit challenge !!!
Flamers , Trolls and Idiots need not reply .
Your truck needs to be equiped with a frame mounted hitch, no need to damage our toy's , Strict saftey guidelines will be followed.
If you are serious please reply here.

We also need (in fairness to the competition) similar set ups on the truck.
If it is a 4x2, traction will be the limiting factor, not power (and I assume that is the basis of the test, correct?), so 4x4 trucks would be preferable, and it would be preferrable if it is done on pavement for better traction.
Similar rear gear ratios. i.e.
If it is the 2.94 rear end in a Titan it would compare to a 3.73 reduction in a F150
If it is the 3.36 rear end in a Titan it would compare to a 4.10 reduction in a F150
Similar Cab configurations, and NO performance enhancing modifications.
Also, I hope you guys have a REAL strong chain to hold these two together.
I am dissapointed I am going to miss the shenanigans.

Despite who wins it dosent say much about what truck is better, the driver will have alot to do with it as well. I have no doubt that an 150 could pull a titan all over the place however it could also go the other way.
I saw a video of a 98 expedition 5.4 4x4 pulling a hummer h2 which is heavier with the larger more powerful 6.0. They were both in 4 wheel drive and both had off road oriented tires but the expedition oviosly knew what he was doing.

Given we are always willing to compare acceleration times from many different sources, (and that has far more driver skill involved than a "pull off"), it should prove something.
And given that our debates between the F150 and the Titan always go back to who could pull better, I think it could be more than relevant.
Bring it on I say.

Well in a pull-off it's all about low end grunt 5.4 triton would probably be compared to the 5.6 DOHC Nissan motor. Ford: 365 lbft @ 3,750 5004lbs super cab 4X4 Titan: 379 lbft @ 3,600 4X4 Crew Cab 5,300 lbs curb weight. And do not forget the fact that the Titan has a 5-speed auto vs the 4-speed auto in the F-150. So the Titan has more torque at a lower rpm, more weight and a lower gear ratio 1st gear. i never thought I'd see the day a Japanese made vehicl had more low end torque than an american vehicle. All in all i think it will be very close, but it seems that the Nissan may have the edge. Nomatter what happens though i will always love Ford!!

I wish I could be there too. It's rare to see a couple of gassers duel-it-out

As to the gear ratio issue, don't forget the Armada is turning 33 inch tires. So if the Ford goes to 4.10 diffs, be sure to keep things even and put 33's on it. But I'll not make excuses - I'll do it even if he comes with 31's in a similar tread pattern, but the point was made by others to keep it even because of the gear ratio differences.
I just know how much better this truck pulls an 8,000 lb. trailer that the Expedition I had (2 valve head) and a new F-150 (3 valve head) the dealer let me keep over night.
