F250 HD Locking Hub Opinions
I need to buy a new set of locking hubs for my IFS 89 F250 with the Dana 50 axle (uses the same hub lock as the Dana 60). My 4x4 use is primarily snow plowing.
The choices as I see them are; SuperWinch, MileMarker, Spicer, Warn and of course Ford. I found Ford to be $200 (and that's cost!), Summit Racing has SuperWinch for $127, I haven't found a MileMarker hub that fits yet, best Spicer price I've found is $175 (don't know if they have different grades, and what this grade is), and the standard Warn can be found for $142, premium Warn is $185.
Since my truck is somewhat beaten, I'm inclined to buy the Superwinch since "new" is pretty much good enough for it, so may as well buy the cheapest. I spoke to a Ford dealer, and they use Superwinch when someone is converting from automatic hubs to manuals, and have never had a problem with them.
Any opinions?? Anyone ever have a problem with SuperWinch?
