2002 F250 CC SB 4x4 5.4 with 3.73's. I am stuck at 9 MPG around town, lots of stop and go. On the highway I can squeak out 12MPG, but that is when the overdrive is off! I noticed that with the overdrive on, the gas mileage is worse. Someone posted that the 5.4 needs to rev a bit more to be efficient, over 2,000 rpms, and it has been made a difference for me on the highway.
I have the 7.5L Gas in my 97 F250, I have heard conflicting reports on whether to turn the overdrive off or not, Anyone else with exprience as for as any improvement/worsening of MPG?
Kadukoboy, What year V-10? What trans? 2WD or 4WD (guessing 4WD with 37's but who knows?)? Do you think 37's - 36.8" actually) will fit rear of 2005 F250 2WD? thnx!
2003 F-250 single cab, 5.4L, A/T, 3.73 axles. During the winter with the plow on 9 mpg--winter, plow off 11 mpg. Now that the weather here in NY has finally warmed up, 12-14 mpg.
