Scab wavy doors / NEW SKINS

Ok for all of you that have the same problem w/ the wavy doors & I've told you FMC will pay for new skins here is the document they gave me. The job turned out PERFECT/ paint matched , new pinstripes , new rubber & plastic moldings everything is back to new. The only thing they have to do is order my inside door sticker w/ all the vehicles info on it & stick it on.

I can tell you I tried to be as patient as I could be because things just don't seem to move fast around the Ford shop but it all paid off. It took a lot longer than I wanted it to but there were more than 5 different people this thing had to go thru & get signed off. I have been called a lier , an butt kisser & a few other names by other members on here & that added to my frustration that I did not need @ the time. I am very sorry for all the people on here & everywhere else that had to have the Bondo put on their trucks & the others that can't get any help.

I am hoping now w/ this paperwork I'm posting you guys / gals can print it out & walk it into your dealerships & show them FMCo. has already paid for the job so theres no reason yours can't be taken care of also.

If any of you have any other ?'s about the process please feel free to contact me & I'll do what I can to help you.

OK I've messed w/ trying to attach the paperwork but don't have the time to fool w/ it right now. Contact me & I'll send anyone that wants a copy. Sorry I just don't have the time to figure the attachment thing out right now.

Just Got Mine

I just got my scab back from the dealer. They too put a new skin, replacing the rippled door panel. The first time I took it in, they tried the bondo method, but I was not happy with the results, neither was the body shop manager. So, after weeks of negoiating between the dealership and FMCo, the new skin was finally approved. They had my truck for a week, but just got it yesterday. They actually remove the outer sheet metal from the door, it's not an entire door replacement. Then they put on the new, repaint and there you have it! The door looks great. The only problem was that there was a door alignment issue to begin with (the front door and the scab door did not line up well). They tried adjusting the doors, but now they're not lined up properly up near the front fender and back near the truck bed. But the shop manager assured me they'd get it done to my satisfaction. So, back in next week to see if they can match things up properly. That's the only bummer at this point. So, yes it can be done. Their work carries a life time warranty, so if the paint has any problems, etc. they're suppose to honor it.

Corona glad to hear you had it work out also. As for a TSB I have never said there was 1 for the doors. I did say I would send anyone the paperwork prooving the new skins have been paid for & that "should" be all you need to give your shop the push they need.

I have found out they can do just about " ANYTHING" they want to as long as they do it the LONG WAY. So if there are any others on here that are being told new skins won't be paid for they are wrong.

Ruckus / THANKS
