Brake Job
I have a 2001 XLT with 5.4 and 4 wheel ABS. Question is two folds.
1. What tools do I need to remove the rotors and replace them other than a BFH.
2. What is the difference and how can I find the size of the rotors. 12mm vs. 14mm. I thought that the 14 mm is for the 4 wheel ABS.
Also, if you have done this, where did you get your rotors and how much did they cost. The dealership wanted to sell me only the whole assy for $190.
Thanks Guys

First off, if you haven't already, I'd reccommend searching the forum. There are hundreds of great threads on the ominous brakes topic. As to tools, T-45 Torx wrench to get the caliper bolts off, and I want to say 9mm or 10 mm socket/crescent wrench for the rest of the bolts. If you search the forum you should find great tips for getting the rotors off w/o or w/ limited use of the ubiquitous BFH. Like taking the bolts after the calipers have been removed and inserting and tightening them into the threads to apply pressure to get the rotors off, assuming your going to be replacing them. Ah, as to the 12 or 14mm size rotors, that I don't have an answer for.
