Aviator class IV hitch for 4x2

I am looking at an '04 aviator purchase. It's a 4x2 and only is offered with a class II hitch. The only way to get a factory tow capacity is to go all wheel drive. Now, you can buy a V8 explorer with 7K tow capcity and a class IV hitch in two wheel drive but, not an avaitor with more HP. Is there a way to swap hitches or source a hitch to tow up to 7,000 lbs. (i'm towing around 5500) DH

Compare the differential ratio between the Explorer and Aviator in 4x2 set-up, The Aviator probably doesn't offer the 3.55 on 4x2, thats what you need to tow that weight. Also look at the Aviator console, its higher than the Explorer and if your tall your knee will be up against it all the time, another consideration is the fuel, Aviator requires premium fuel, the Explorer V8 runs on regular. Good luck.
