Talking New pads and rotors!

I just recieved and installed a front set of Powerstop sloted and cross-drilled rotors and a front set of Porterfield Carbon Kevlar brake pads. The pads have a split in them, so I'll tell you how they sound after a few thousand miles. So far, I sure like having front brakes that don't grind! But I am still in the brake in period, and will be for a while, untill then, no abrupt stops... etc...

I put the Powerslot/Hawk combo on and agree with you that "I sure like having front brakes that don't grind!" I didn;t realize how bad I was metal on metal on the inside of both sides until I removed them, Yikes!!!

Yea, my last pair were really screwed up, I could even see multiple spots wheresomone had come to a complete stop afer braking HARD, and cooked a brake pad outline into the rotors!
