What are you guys using to protect your dashboard?I use Armor all on the part that looks like leather but don`t really like what it does on the hard smooth stuff. What are you using.
Be real careful w/ 409... I used it on my old 69 barracuda.. within a year the vinyl seats became brittle & the dash cracked.. I think I read (after the fact) that it wasn't recommended for vinyl...

Jim.....
I use TurtleWax's Formula 2001 Protectant the last few years. It is a bit shiny for my tastes, but if you wipe off the excess after a few minutes, it looks good. The label recommends it for dashboards, seats, and other vinyl surfaces. Before that I used Formula 303 protectant from a Marine supply store.
On our old Zodiak inflatable boat, I learned to avoid Armor-All, which has a reputation for reacting badly with certain Hypalon boat fabrics. Not that I know of a problem with Ford vinyl and plastics, I just avoid the stuff out of habit.

Personally, I like those little armor-all type cleaning wipes.. I get stuck in traffic a few times a week (Big time stuck when you put the parking brake on & wait).. I pull out a wipe or two & start cleaning.. Keeps me sane..
The best product for cleaning all non-fabric interior parts in Murphy's Oil Soap.
Gonna have to diagree with you there. I've been using 303 Aerospace Protectant for a few years, and it is going to be the last type of automotive interior protectant I'll ever buy. If you look throught their site, you'd think it's snake oil because of everything they promise, but it delivers! I used it to coat my wiper blades one fall, and they never froze to the windshield that winter. The stuff is just unbelievable.
I know this thread is old, but I will agree. The Aerospace stuff is the best stuff on the market, no doubt. I can't even tell you how great it works. They use it on the canvas and vinyl on boats.
Steenbak or Trojanman 1, I would like to try the 303 Aerospace.I am wondering if it has to be ordered from the site you listed or can it be purchased at parts stores or WalMart etc? Thanks for your help!
