Ford 255 CI V8

Does anyone know where there is a Ford 255 CI V8 engine for sale?

Yea I got one that I would like to sell or trade for a 302 or 351

Missy, The 255 was a short run for fuel mileage engine put into the mustangs and others around 79-82. You'd be better off with a 302/351 engine instead. There are more aftermarket items for the 302/351 and not much for the 255. Post your question to the 302/351 Forum and they should be able to help you out.

This is for a friend of mine's racer. The class only allows up to a 260ci engine. He plans to rebuild it and strength it for the known faults. A 260 ci engine would be nice but it can't have any overbore.

check with Summit racing and see what they can do to help you with build up and etc.

i have a 81 f100 with a 255 the hp rating from the factory is 120hp i would not recomend this engine for any racing application
