V6, 4.2L EXHAUST, Super40 w/magnaflow?
Hello, I'm looking for some advice on a new exhaust for my 2000 F150 V6 4.2L, 2WD. I'm having a Custom Cat-Back Exhaust system installed, Single Side Out just like before, but using 2.5" pipe, with a Flowmaster Super 40. Here is where I need the advice, will a 304 series Magnaflow Stainless Steel Tip, Length 18" or 22", inlet 2.5", outlet 4", help in taking some of the ricey sound out at high RPM's. I know it will never sound like a V8. Thanks for your advice guy's.

4.2 Exhaust
I had a 97 F150 with the 4.2 V6 With a 3" flowmaster two chamber and two highflow cats instead of the stock 4, with 3" pipe all the way out the side behind the passenger wheel to a 3" stainless slash cut tip. It was pretty loud with a lot of popping on deceleration, sounded kinda like an old Jaguar. I had the shop put on a 24" long resonator in front of the flowmaster, took out all the popping and gave a nice deep sound.
