Flaresides everywhere in Florida.
I have been in Florida (Ocala) for the last several days and saw flaresides everywhere. They seem to be much more popular there than at home in North Carolina. I guess that means the folks down there have good taste I stopped by Ford of Ocala while I was there and they had about 8 F-150s customized by LA West Customs. They were nice rides.

Always interesting seeing what goes on in various parts of the country. You have flaresides up the wazoo in FL while here in So Cal, after driving 14K mi in the last year all around LA/Orange Co, San Diego, eastern desert and SF Bay Area, I personally can recal seeing TWO flaresides on the road.
My local dealer says they are no longer taking delivery of flaresides except when pre-ordered with down payment, since they can not get them off the lot.

Why can't they sell the Flaresides? I like them, but don't know if I'd buy one personally. The front of these trucks look even larger with a Flareside bed, kind of an odd appearance at first. But I think with larger tires, maybe a better offset rim, and possibly a lower suspension would ease the appearance a bit.

Dunk...you're right about the road conditions, but most of the cars move out of my way!!
The big problem is we're back to my wife's hometown, and the M-I-L is only one and a half blocks away (easy walking distance). If it were TWO MILES, then she'd think twice about walking down "whenever she pleases"!

hksigman,
Here is a link to a site that sells a die cast replica of my flareside truck. It is exactly like my truck except that I have the chrome step bars. What’s neat though, is they have a picture of the truck from every angle, so you can get a pretty good idea of how it looks. Go Flareside! http://www.idcow.com/bs2007.html
