I was trying to find out some thing ? I have a c-6 from a 68 murk. & 74 f-100 what one do i rebuild for my 65 f-100 & if the trans clutch packs is the larger one in the truck. I plan on installing a 410 built for it for around town & short drives will be using a 3.70 gear. And I will be building it myself.

I am not sure exactly what you are saying but both of those trans should be the same as far as everything goes the split is in 77, if one of them has more clutches in it than the other than use those clutch packs but you can put them into either case.

 

Should have asked if any one knew if the truck trans. had a larger clutch pack? & if the 74 trans had better updates than the 68 murks. trans.

The truck trans souldn't have anymore clutches than the car trans.
