Can you build your own track bar? I can't find one for sale and the local shop says they can build me one for $160. I think I am going to build my own using some DOM tubing and rod ends. Is this a bad idea? What about sleeving the original track bar with some DOM tubing?

 

Has anyone ever built a track bar for any year truck? How did you do it and what materials did you use? Thanks.

Build your own, a lot of people do, a track bar is no big deal, if you were talking drag link or something, I would give that some more thought. I am surprised you could not find even a used one.
